This Tamil team are a hardworking, no nonsense team that entered the PKL in 2017. They are currently led by national team Captain Ajay thakur. Kabaddi for them is not just a sport, but a passion. Their biggest rivals are the Bengaluru Bulls. They hail from the city of Chennai, where they train rigoursly at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Their current Captain, Ajay Thakur, is a true warrior who believes in fighting for victory till the end. It’s this attitude that made him a perfect fit to lead Tamil Thalaivas, when they made their debut in the league. He has consistently been among the leading raiders of VIVO Pro Kabaddi since the inception of VIVO Pro Kabaddi. He has also been a part of a number of last-minute victories for his side and was the hero of India’s 2016 Kabaddi World Cup triumph.
Thakur scored a Super 10 against Iran in the final of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup to lead India to victory. Another worthy mention is Jasvir Singh. Jasvir Singh is one of India’s most decorated kabaddi players. The raider from Haryana has been instrumental in India’s success in international competitions.

He starred in India’s Asia Cup win in Incheon and was also part of 2016 World Cup winning squad. His leadership and personality in the locker room have earned him the nickname “Nawab”, and this king takes on all comers. In 3 of his first 4 seasons with Jaipur, he was in the top two scorers for the team.
He is followed closely by Sukesh Hegde, A strong raider with a passionate spirit, this Karnataka-native spent the first four seasons of VIVO Pro Kabaddi with Telugu Titans. He was a consistent scorer for the Titans, scoring 209 raid points in 49 matches. He got to explore his leadership ability when he was picked by Gujarat Fortunegiants as their captain for their maiden campaign in Season 5 of the league.
